The game of OriKan-TCG offers players 5 different card types, read below to get to know about all of them
Boss Cards
Boss Cards represent your Life Points in the game. So in other words if your Boss card dies you lose the game. Each Boss Card is different in the way that their effects vary depending on that Boss's individual role in the game. For example the Boss Card may have an effect that prevents certain things from happening were others may increase damage dealt or reduce damage received. Terrain Cards
These cards are the locations and areas were you battle it out with you opponent. Much like the Field Spell cards in Yu-Gi-Oh these cards give boosts to your creatures, As a plus these cards also only affect your side of the field. Compound Cards
Compound Cards are the "Life Blood" of the game. Without them the game can not be won or even played. Compound Cards come in 3 types; Red, Blue and Green. Each color is used with your Ally cards to make them do their stuff. These cards are also used or in some cases can also be used to activate and resolve other card effects in the game. |
Ally Cards
Ally Cards represent you primary attacking force in the game much the same as your monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh or you Vanguard/ Rear Support in Cardfight Vanguard. Ally Cards come in 3 differant variations; Red, Blue, Green. Each variation has its own unique role in the game. Greens for example are more based on healing and support, were as Reds are focused more on the Damage side of the game. Ally Cards also have differeant grades (or Stages in Pokemon) each grade increase boosts the power of your Ally Card. However unlike Pokemons stage system, OriKan's Ally cards can increase in grade as long as its a Ally of the same color. Event Cards
Event Cards are the terror of the game, allowing players to increase their field presence or even manipulating their own or their opponents side of the field. These Cards act the same as Instant Sorcery Cards in Magic the Gathering as well as much like Quick-Play Spell cards and Trap cards in Yu-Gi-Oh. |
