Phases of Gameplay
Phase 1: Draw Phase
-During your Draw Phase you draw 1 card from your Resource Pile (your deck).
Phase 2: Tactics Phase
-During the Beginning of this Phase players Un-Shift all cards that were already Shifted.
-During this Phase you can summon your ally cards from your hand or Upgrade a Ally card that has been on the field for at least 1 turn. You are only allowed to Play 1 Ally Card per Tactics Phase. However you can Upgrade any number of Ally Cards that you have on the field. Ally cards can be Upgraded by stacking a Ally Card of the same color on top of a Ally Card that is 1 Grade lower then it. Note that a player can only control up to 4 Ally Cards at a time
-Also, during the Tactics Phase, you are allowed to play up to 2 compound cards from your hand (unless otherwise specified on a card). Players Can control up to 15 Compound cards at a time and can not control anymore then that.
-Event Cards and Terrain Cards can also be played at this time. A player can only control 1 Terrain card at a time. Players can control up to 2 active Event Cards at a time. Active Event Cards are destroyed and sent to the Pit during the End Phase. Players can also play up to 3 face down Event Cards during this Phase, a player can only have up to 3 facedown Event cards at any given time. Face Down Event Cards can not be activated during the turn they are played Face Down. When a Face Down Event card is activated it counts towards your 2 active Event Card maximum and is destroyed during the End Phase.
Phase 3: Combat Phase
-During the Combat Phase players do battle with the opponents Ally and Boss Cards.
-An Ally card can be used for battle or it effect can be used. If a Ally Card has more then 1 effect a player choses which one to use and pays the cost to do so. In order to pay the cost of a Attack and/or Effect a player must Shift the appropriate number of Compound
Cards as indicated on the Ally Card. When doing so a player must pay the cost by Shifting Compound Cards of the same color as the Ally Card. When a Ally Card is used during this Phase it is Shifted. A Ally Card can not be used if it is in the Shifted Position.
-If your opponent controls no Ally Cards your Attacking Cards can attack your opponents Boss Card directly.
--In addition, any Ally cards that are in the shifted position on the defending side can be bypassed for a direct attack on the opposing Boss Card if the Defending player has no Non-Shifted Ally cards.
-When using an Attack that does Damage to your Opponent the Damage amount which is located to the right of the Attack Name is taken off of your Opponents Ally card that was the target for the attack. At any point in time if an Ally Cards health is dropped to 0 it is sent to the Pit. If a Ally card was sent to the pit due to Battle and extra damage is deducted from that Ally Card's controller's Boss Card. When a Boss Card's health is dropped to 0 the controller of that Boss Card loses the game.
-Event Cards can be activated during any Phase of the Game.
Phase 4: Reinforce Phase
-During this Phase the players whose turn it is can shift 5 compounds of any color to summon an additional Ally card this turn. Compound Cards that are used for this effect do not Un-Shift during your next Tactics Phase. They however do Un-Shift during your next turns End Phase.
Phase 5: End Phase
-Any effects/rules that resolve during the End Phase happen at this time. If no Effects/Rules can resolve your Turn is Over and your Opponents Draw Phase begins.
